Listening to Pandora while typing away last night. I thought this song sort of fits what I was talking about with that quote from St. Josemaria Escriva. We have to look at Christ's life of turmoil and realize that a truly Christian life is not one that is easy. We need to "activate" and go out into the world with a purpose. This song by Remedy Drive is one of my favorites lately. I had a lot of trouble finding anything that made me happy last year, finding a way to get through all the stress and drama, not feel so alone, and feel like someone understood. Everything I found turned out to be less than what I wanted. I found a friend who was a boy, I wanted a boyfriend. I got the grade, but it was never high enough, or I didn't get it the right way. I wanted someone to talk to, I found someone who only wanted me to listen to her. I wanted to have fun, and I found the empty entertainment of watching others have it on TV. But really, all I wanted, was God's love. The best part is, I already had it.
